We were planning to move our Dental Practice to a new High Street location and were on the lookout for a new computer system as we were fed up with having no back up when anything went wrong when one of the local Dental Engineers mentioned TAB. “They’re really good” he said “they really care”.
That sounded good to us so we phoned Bob (Collar). We were impressed. Yes this company are there because they know that Dentists need help there and then when it goes awry, not in 2 days time and not blaming all the sins of computers, internet on BT!! (Well, just occasionally).
The build was hard work, stressful, yes, in the middle of the credit crunch when it looked liked life as we know it would end. Matt came all the way over from Derby to attend the big architects meeting and gave his input on what would work what wouldn’t work.
Later the builders, as always happens, were behind schedule. The guys at tab did their stuff and rescheduled. Not easy, but they helped all the way.
Finally it was tabs turn to get in and fit the computers. Along came Adam, fantastic guy. I spent a whole day in conversation with Adam before realising that he is totally deaf ! He worked all day and all evening and then finally it was time for him to go all the way back to Derby at about ten in the evening. We had left a key for him to lock up but the lock jammed with the door open and Adam couldn’t lock the door behind him!
Poor Adam!. He was stuck!! He texted Bob and said Help I’m stuck. Bob tried to phone me. I was sound asleep in bed [very cosy], my phone was downstairs on the charger!!
Next morning at breakfast I heard my phone ring. Ooh, I thought. Why is Bob from TAB ringing me this early in the morning?
Hi Angie, said Bob. Did you know that Adam has stayed all night at the surgery? The door wouldn’t lock and he tried to sleep [tried, being the important word] by the front door. He couldn’t even go and try to sleep on one of the chairs in the surgery because he can’t hear if someone is coming in!
Bob had ordered Adam a Dominoes Pizza and bottle of coke and Adam spent the night being stared at by whoever stumbled out of the local night club.
Now that is what I call a service!! You can’t get better than that. Though please, if you do use TAB for your practice. Check the locks. I’m sure Adam would rather be tucked up at home in bed than camping on your waiting room floor!
